If you’re using the Navionics Boating app for your nautical charts and have created one or more routes, you may want to easily differentiate the routes by giving them specific names. Here’s how to easily rename a route within Navionics:
- In the Chart Viewer select Route > My Routes Archive
- Click on the Route you want to Rename
- Tap the text box at the top of the Route info display
- Rename the Route
- Tap the Return/Enter button on your device’s keyboard to save
- Tap Back to return to your Routes list

Rename a Route on the Navionics Boating App (iPhone & Android)
If you are trying to rename a saved route on an iPhone or Android device, you can easily do so within the Navionics Boating App.
To do this, you need to follow the instructions numbered above, but once you have selected the route (Step 2), you will need to click on Route once more at the bottom of your screen (it should be highlighted blue at this point).
A menu will then appear, giving you the option to view the details of your route. Click “Details” and then you will be able to simply click on the route name and change it to whatever you like.
